DESCRIPTION:Learn about important topics in research and publishing without 
 an overwhelming time investment with the Short and Sweet Scholar Series. 
 These 30 minute presentations by the Scholarly Communication Librarian will 
 give a brief overview of the topic\, and snacks will be available to keep 
 you motivated. Get a quick introduction to Open Access publishing and learn 
 what it means for researchers and readers. This session will cover the 
 basics of Open Access\, including common publishing models\, benefits\, and 
 ways to make your research more widely available. This workshop will 
 introduce the different types of Open Access such as diamond Open Access. 
 The topic is relevant to those who publish and plan to publish but also 
 anyone who searches for and reads research articles. Bring your questions 
 and curiosity.
